    Onefootball.com // Not a classic Clásico

El Clásico started with a touching tribute to Johann Cruyff for his important impact in Barcelona with an impressive mosaic and a video that saw former Barça players were quoting some of his iconic statements. It was probably the most interesting point of the night for Barça fans. From then on it wasn’t the exciting Clásico we all expected. There good football only arrived in the last 20 minutes, in that moment when Luis Enrique decided to change Rakitic for Turan, and all of a sudden the Blaugranas were out of the game. This helped Real Madrid turn the score around and end Barça’s run of 39 games undefeated – and wound in their morale just before Champions League returns.

Onefootball.com // Del Bosque and Spain have plenty of work to do

Right now, Spain are an unconnected team, lacking directness and goals. Watching La Roja draw with Italy and Romania served to highlighted this as well as another weakness: the team is much too reliant on the distribution of Sergio Busquets and Andrés Iniesta, both of whom were absent for those matches. The new generation of players called to be creative in midfield have not met the expectations and added to this is the poor form of the so-called British players (Cesc Fàbregas, Juan Mata, David Silva, Pedro). With all this in mind, Vicente del Bosque has quite a challenge to build a team that will be able to compete against the best this summer in France.

Issuu.com // SK Brann – FC Barcelona: A Barcelonan’s encounter with football in Bergen

On the 20th of March, Bergen’s football team, Brann, played against Rosenborg, and 16.732 spectators went to the stadium to watch one of the most highly anticipated matches in Bergen this season. Just four days earlier, FC Barcelona played against Arsenal in Champions League, and 95.486 spectators almost filled the Camp Nou for this important game. The opportunity to watch a good football match in Norway made me think about the differences between SK Brann and the team of my city, FC Barcelona. Is there any important difference between these matches? Some people may say no, it’s just football. I'm not so sure. It’s not just about football; it’s the magic that surrounds the game, the day, or even the week before the match...
